Hi crafty friends! I’m Leesa Stout, small business owner, wife, dog-mom, runner, bag maker, quilter, and crafter. I love cutting up beautiful fabric and then piecing it back together to make something fun, creative, original and useful.

You may be wondering where Needle on the Run came from. It was simply a way to combine two of my favorite pastimes. The running shoe laced with needle and thread says it all. You may also see it at NOTR for short from time to time.

My introduction to sewing originally started from watching my Grandma make beautiful quilts. Most of them scrappy as she used what she had and guaranteed every stitch she sewed was with love and prayer. I didn’t actually pick up sewing myself until later in life and while I never took the opportunity to sit at the sewing machine with her, I think she knows what I’m doing now and I know she would be proud!

My go-to machine for bag making and straight stitching is my Juki 2200TL QVP. This is my heavy duty workhorse. I use a Babylock Esante when I need decorative stitches or for embroidery. I also have a Janome Quilt Maker Pro 18 longarm.

For vinyl crafting I use either a Cricut Maker or the StarCraft Solo. I use the StarCraft 8-1 heat press for sublimation, heat transfer vinyl and applying bag interfacings.

I reside in South Carolina with my husband and our 9 year old chocolate lab, Miles. We love running and have completed many marathons. We also enjoy cycling, going to the beach, cooking, following the South Carolina Gamecocks sports teams and we each have hobbies that we love. I sew while my husband, Mark, works in his workshop turning wood on his lathe.

I hope you enjoy browsing the Needle on the Run Shop. You never know what you will find there as I love working with fabric, leather, faux leather, cork, vinyl, and sublimation. Whether you are shopping for yourself or for a one-of-a-kind gift, you are sure to see something you like!

Thank you for supporting our small business!

Leesa
